Aichi Science and Technology Foundation is taking an active role in the Aichi prefectural region under the collaboration and cooperation of both industry and government with academia, aiming at building new networks of researchers, and for creating the new scientific technology responsible for development of industrial activities in the 21st century.

Within the region, we have been involved in projects such as the Central Japan International Airport, Second Tomei-Meishin Expressway, and Expo 2005 Aichi Japan. Now, we are steadily making progress with some ideas that are full of dreams, such as the Linear Chuo Shinkansen Project and City of Technology Transfers for the Future plans, as the heart of the Aichi academic research and development zone.

The plan for the Science and Technology Exchange Center is the core project for academic research exchanges based in the area.

This foundation shoulders the responsibility of promoting and disseminating creative scientific technologies to the entire country and to the world, placing great value on ideas produced by an extensive exchange of researchers.

Making full use of technological resources in the Aichi prefectural area, we create human exchange interfacing in order to produce new scientific technology. We also place importance on coordination activities, to promote various research and development projects, joint research, and to form the foundation of industries and society for the next generation.
