Latest news details

(Participant recruitment has ended) We are looking for participants for the Aichi Prefecture Connected Factory Testbed "2nd IoT System Construction Training Seminar"!

The Aichi Center for Industry and Science Technology's Industrial Technology Center (Kariya City) is working on a joint research project with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (NAIST) titled "Research on Strengthening IoT Introduction to Local Companies in Aichi Prefecture (Connected Factory Testbed Project)," to build an "environment where IoT can be seen and tried out" (testbed) and support companies in utilizing IoT.

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to experience building their own IoT, including visualizing operation status and utilizing data, using the IoT support tool that is being developed as part of this project to enable easy and inexpensive construction of IoT systems.

Anyone interested in utilizing IoT is welcome to participate.

The content of this training session will be the same as that of the "1st IoT System Construction Training Session" held in October.

1. Date and Time

[Day 1] Wednesday, February 21, 2024 10:00-16:00

[Day 2] Thursday, February 22, 2024 10:00-16:00

2. Venue

Aichi Prefectural Technology Development and Exchange Center, 2nd floor, Training Room 3

(157-1 Ondacho, Kariya City (inside the Industrial Technology Center))

3. Target

Companies within the prefecture that are interested in utilizing IoT.

4 Programs

[Day 1]

・Building IoT systems using the "MZ Platform Smart Manufacturing Toolkit"

・Remote monitoring of operation status using sensors and cameras [Visualization]

The "MZ Platform Smart Manufacturing Toolkit" is a project being researched and developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) to realize IoT in factories without requiring advanced skills.

Using the "IoT Support Tool" that is being developed based on this, participants will be able to build a basic IoT system. In addition, participants will experience how to use the tool to detect and determine whether a lamp is on using an illuminance sensor, and how to check and save camera images from a remote location.

[Day 2]

・Acquisition of sensor data and AI-based anomaly detection and image classification [Data utilization]

Using the "IoT Support Tool", participants will experience how to acquire acceleration sensor values and how to use the acquired data to detect anomalies (designing a recurrent neural network for time-series data and implementing it on a Raspberry Pi).

We will also work on AI image classification (design and implementation of convolutional neural networks).

Lecturer: Aichi Center for Industrial Science and Technology, Industrial Technology Center staff

For more details, please see the flyer below.

5. Capacity: 10 companies (first come, first served)

* Up to two people from each company can participate. However, only one set of equipment will be provided per company.

6. Participation is free
