Researchers and engineers who interested in a particular research field or technology area gather together to form groups, and we support the operation of workshops that they collect cutting-edge information and discuss the research content. Although the workshops are based on themes related to science and technology that are useful to society and industry, they are not limited to concrete products or methods of practical application, and they engage in free discussions with the aim of finding original ideas and research hints.In order to develop new products that apply science and technology and to put new technologies into practical use, it is important to prepare as many and as wide a range of achievements of basic research as possible that form the basis of technological development, and the abundant  accumulation of achievements of original basic research leads  to the strengthening and enhancement of the manufacturing capabilities of the local. Workshops on various themes are active.

Coordinators from our foundation participate in many of the workshops, helping to identify seeds suitable for the technological development that companies wish to pursue and helping to develop them into joint industry-academia research projects.
